In 1974, Walt Reed opened the Illustration House. For decades, the New York gallery was the nation’s premier advocate for illustration art. Now, University Libraries has worked with Reed and his son, Roger, to acquire the Illustration House archives along with a substantial number of original artworks.

Nick Offerman, who plays Ron Swanson on the television show Parks and Recreation, offered students “tips for a prosperous life” during a free comedy show Nov. 10 at Edison Theatre. Tips included “Eat red meat” and “Go outside … remain there.” Student Union’s Social Programming Board hosted the show.
